song/music

In music, we had to make a song

To my ex-best friend

You have chosen the wrong things in life
But I can't help you
I have tried so hard to help you go down the right paths
But you didn't listen to me
I have stopped you from cutting
But I can't help you now
I have to go my own way now

So to my ex-best friend
You always knew me right
Through hard and low times
I knew I could trust you
But then you left me

All the bad choices you have made
Lead you down this path
Getting court up in
Drugs alcohol smoking lead you here
You may not think it has to lead you
Here but it has and I'm sorry
But it has lead to losing me

So to my ex-best friend
You always knew me right
Through hard and low times
I knew I could trust you
But then you left me

You were changing so much you have hurt
Me in many ways
Now the time has come to say
My last words to you

Goodbye best friend

singing

Today in period 2 we did C.I.P.
We started to weed and move some wood.
some of the wood was rotten and falling apart.
When we were weeding there was stinging needle. a stinging needle is a type of plant that stings you and you can get really itchy.

Today In period 3 we had singing.
The first song we sang was tip of my tongue for our warm-up song. We sang home again 2 times. Then big Aroha, whaling, green light and light surrounding you.

The visit of Ella West

Ella West visit

So yesterday Ella West came to our school. In our class we
Have a ‘Night Vision’ group for reading and Ella West wrote ‘Night Vision’. They had to do a blog post about the book ‘Night Vision’. The blog post caught her attention and she was already coming down to Christchurch for family things and so she decided to come and visit us.

The day came where Ella West came to our school. We had a little meet with all the ⅞ classes then ⅞ Al went to the learning commons. We asked some questions.
She is a journalist for the southland times forming magazines. She tries aiming for 1000 words a day. She is currently writing a new book called ‘Sound of My Heart’ and it is about a 16-year-old girl running a half marathon and trying to compete against older people.

‘Night Vision’ has won 2 awards.
Her first book was thieves in 2006. In ‘Night Vision’ there is this girl that has a disorder where if she goes in the sun her skin burns and swells up based that on a true part in life because some kids are not too lucky and actually has that disorder where they can't go in the sun. So they don't go to school and cant play netball basketball etc.
